General Information.

This website is a directory of independent bicycle mechanics. Whilst each mechanic/business is autonomous. Cycle Tech Connect is committed to building a community of like minded mechanics working within a framework. Whilst a good majority of what each mechanic does is unique to the individual requirements of each repair they see. A mechanic cannot give quotes (or even vague estimations) without seeing your bike first. (The mechanic will first carry out an inspection and report. Known as the M-check)

Customer FAQ

The Cycle Tech Connect mechanic finder is an easy to use tool to help you compare your local mechanics, read reviews and find out further information. Simply type in your postcode and service you require (if you are not sure leave this blank), and hit search. Click on each mechanics listing to browse. Click the book now button to send your chosen mechanic a message with your details, preferred date & time, and your mechanic will be in contact with you within 24 hours to confirm your booking.

If you are able to take your bike to the mechanics workshop then yes, otherwise on the mechanics listing they will state which areas they cover. You are welcome to message the mechanic to confirm if they are willing to travel to you but this is not guaranteed if you live outside of their area.

Each mechanic works differently. On their listing it will say clearly if they offer collection & delivery or if they require you to drop your bike off at their workshop.
Cycle Tech Connect is a new website and hopes to soon have mechanics listed in every part of the UK.
This will depend on your bike or e-Bike, how often you use it and the conditions you ride in. Your local mechanic will advise you, a general rule of thumb is once a year with a check-over in between.

It will vary between mechanics due to their level of training and experience. Please view your local mechanics listings to see which brands they work on. Our mechanics will not work on e-Bikes bought online for less than £1000.00, this is because they are poorly & cheaply made and often unsafe. These types of e-Bike are often sold with no aftercare support or replacement parts available.

Repair prices vary depending on what needs doing on your bike. Your mechanic will carry out an initial inspection of the bike (known as M-Check) and before any repair work is carried out quote you on an estimated price.

Please provide feed back of your mechanic, our community relies upon you to do so.

Using the Mechanic Locator – Our mechanics locator presents core information to the consumer like the mechanic’s distance, expertise and brands they offer.
